Bruce Willis, who is expecting baby number two with wife Emma Heming-Willis, just dropped the price of his mansion in Beverly Hills by nearly $2 million! And it’s not the first price cut: the Diehard star listed the home May 28, 2013, for $22 million, and dropped the price to $19.995 million on Aug. 26. It’s now on the market for $18 million – what a bargain!
Willis purchased the estate in June 2004 for $6.3 million, so he still stands to make a lot of money from the sale. The 11-bedroom, 11-bath home spans 10,379 square feet, and has a tennis court, music room, library and staff quarters. It was built in 1928, but has gone through several remodels since then. Modern amenities include a gourmet kitchen with an eight-burner stove, a steam shower in one of the many bathrooms and a chilled wine cellar.
The furniture has a classic style, with a mix of old and new designs, from modern white sofas to classic leather chairs. The home is ideal for entertaining, with nearly an acre of grounds that include a pool, tennis court, built-in barbecue and covered patio.
The former owner was Alan Ladd Jr., a film industry executive and producer who is famous for giving George Lucas the green light to make Star Wars. The neighborhood is full of celebrities and Hollywood executives; past and present residents include screenwriter Michael Leeson, NASCAR owner Ollen Bruton Smith, Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, and Michael Jackson.
No word yet on where Willis and family are heading next. Perhaps they need even more room now that a second baby is on the way! What do you think of their home? Is it what you pictured the tough action star living in?
