Katy Perry has been trying to sell the home she and Russell Brand purchased together, but after months of trying to find a buyer under a pocket listing, she finally listed it on the MLS. The 8,835 square foot Los Angeles home is on sale for $6,925,000, which is $425,000 more than they paid back in June 2011.
The seven bedroom, nine bath Mediterranean estate is located at 8159 Hollywood Blvd, and features sweeping views of the L.A. skyline. It includes two guest houses, and is ultra-private with two gates that rise high above the street. Outside, the lagoon-style pool has a waterfall, lush landscaping, and small bridges over the running water. 
The home was built in 1921 and has many unique details, including rod iron fixtures, curved ceilings, intricate tile, detailed woodwork, and art glass windows. It is listed by Ernie Carswell, Teles Properties, Inc.
Perry and Brand purchased the home from Daniel Laikin, the former Chief Executive of National Lampoon, who was found guilty last year in federal court of manipulating the stock price of the comedy film company. They sold their previous Los Feliz home for $3.3 million prior to purchasing this one.
