According to the Austin-American Statesman, cyclist Lance Armstrong purchased a new home in Austin, TX, for $4.34 million. The home spans 12,553 square feet and includes five bedrooms and 6.5 baths. The modern home was designed by renowned architect Arthur Andersson, and is nestled on 3.6 acres overlooking Lake Austin.
The property contains four separate structures anchored by a pool that appears to pour into Lake Austin. It also includes an architectural-award-winning boat house accessed by a magnificently engineered bridge, which spans a peaceful canyon with views of the nature trails and wildlife habitat below.
Just five days ago Armstrong sold his former residence (which is not in the MLS) for somewhere around $3-4 million. You can see a picture of the main residence and guest house from the home across the street, which is on the market for $900,000. The home has been featured in Architectural Digest and was the location of the famous Oprah interview where he confessed to illegal doping.
