The 2,500 square foot Mediterranean-style home was built in 1924 and has two bedrooms and three baths.

Final MapPeople Magazine just named Channing Tatum the Sexiest Man Alive for 2012! The Magic Mike star struts his stuff around the Hollywood Hills, where he owns a 2,538 square foot home that he purchased in 2008 for $2.6 million. The home sits on a private lot surrounded by lush foliage, creating a quiet sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles. It features a curved teak staircase, wraparound terraces and 12-foot pitched wood and beam ceilings that give it the feel of a Balinese tree house.

The home is a fitting location for this stud muffin, considering Channing’s efforts to raise money for rainforest preservation. It is located on Hermits Glen, in an area famous for the “hermit of Laurel Canyon,” Frederick Shaw, a nudist who often walked around his property naked. Let’s hope Channing keeps up the tradition.

The home has been called “Rising Zen” due to its modern design and Asian influence. It features many bright, open spaces and tons of windows to let in the light.

The estate is located in the prestigious Hollywood Hills, near celebrities such as Madonna, Ellen Degeneres and Porta de Rossi, Keanu Reeves and Dr. Dre. Ryan purchased the home in May 2008 for $7,175,000, after his split with Reese Witherspoon. He originally listed it on December 2, 2010, for $7,450,000. Witherspoon 1Desperate to sell, Reese Witherspoon, 36, just dropped the price on her Ojai ranch by a whopping $1.65 million! But it’s not the first time she’s taken a hit on the home. The actress, who is shooting the upcoming thriller Mud” with Matthew McConaughey, first listed the estate on Oct. 15, 2012 for $10 million. She dropped the price just a few weeks later, to $8.9 million on Nov. 5, 2012. And now it has dropped again to $7.25 million.

Witherspoon 2The house, which is listed by Billy Rose at The Agency, is steeped in history. According to the listing, the home – known as Libbey Ranch – was originally designed in 1923 by Wallace Neff as stables for glassware magnate Edward Libbey, the “founding father” of Ojai, a bucolic village a short drive north of Los Angeles. It was once home to “Ghostbusters” actor and director Harold Ramis and celebrity designer Kathryn M. Ireland, and it has been featured in Vogue, House Beautiful and Elle Décor.

Witherspoon 3Witherspoon purchased the property on March 13, 2008, for $5.8 million. The seven acre ranch features century-old hardware, arches, turrets, original stonework, plank floors and Spanish tiles. The main house has four bedrooms and three baths, a soaring beamed-ceiling living room with a massive stone fireplace, a large country kitchen and a library. The property also has three guest cottages, a carriage house, organic garden, pool, horse stables, and acres of pasture. The landscaping was designed by star architect Jay Griffith.

In March 2011 Witherspoon and her new husband, Jim Toth, decided to tie the knot at the ranch. It was also rumored to be Robert Pattinson’s hideaway when he discovered his girlfriend of three years, Kristen Stewart, had cheated on him with married Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders. Pattinson befriended Witherspoon while filming “Water for Elephants.”

What do you think of the ranch? Would you pay $7.25 million for it?

For Sale: Lloyd Wright-Designed Home with Hollywood History

Lloyd WrightLloyd Wright’s Samuel Novarro House just hit the market for $4,495,000. The home, which was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright’s son, is known as one of the most significant architectural estates in Los Angeles. It also has Hollywood history; previous owners include Ramon Navarro, Diane Keaton and Christina Ricci.

Lloyd WrightThe home was built in 1928 for Lois Samuel, the secretary of silent film star Ramon Navarro. However, when Navarro discovered that Samuel had embezzled money from him, he asked Samuel to give him the home as payment for the funds he stole. Navarro then rehired Lloyd Wright to renovate and expand the estate.

That’s not the first time it has gone through a remodel. Diane Keaton purchased the home in 1988 for $1.15 million and hired famous designer Josh Schweitzer to remodel it. In 2005 Christina Ricci purchased the home for $2,979,000, and sold it a year later for around $150,000 less than what she paid (ouch!).

The four bedroom, three bath home has been meticulously restored to keep Wright’s original vision intact. Details include sleek concrete floors, dramatic windows, an indoor/outdoor flow and period Lloyd Wright details. Outside there’s a swimmer’s pool, professionally landscaped gardens and terraces. It is listed by Aaron Kirman of Hilton & Hyland.

Crime Scene: Where The Biebs Got Busted

Justin Bieber

Credit: IMDB

On Tuesday cops were called to Justin Bieber’s home in Calabasas, CA, due to an altercation with a neighbor. According to the police report filed by his neighbor, Bieber got a new Ferrari and was recklessly driving it around the neighborhood early in the morning. When his neighbor walked over to Bieber’s home and asked him to quiet down, Bieber became angry, and supposedly spit on his neighbor!

Even though Bieber’s reps deny he ever spit, a landscaping crew working nearby told Perez Hilton that they saw it happen. Other neighbors have confirmed that Bieber was driving the car through the neighborhood at around 100 miles per hour.

Justin Bieber House

Justin Bieber’s home in Calabasas, CA

So where did all of this go down? At Bieber’s home, in a prestigious area of Calabasas called The Oaks. Bieber purchased the property on April 6, 2012, for $6.5 million dollars. The six bedroom, seven bath home spans 9,214 square feet and includes a massive screening room and a wine cellar (at 19, we can assume Bieber fills it with soda). According to TMZ, Bieber’s friend Lil Twist has thrown raging parties at this home, but apparently the neighbor who complained about the reckless driving is ok with the parties.

Other stars with homes in the area include The Kardashians, Amanda Bynes, Jennifer Lopez and Will and Jada Pinkett Smith.

What do you think? Did Bieber spit on his neighbor, or was that blown out of proportion?

KatyPerryHouseKaty Perry has been trying to sell the home she and Russell Brand purchased together, but after months of trying to find a buyer under a pocket listing, she finally listed it on the MLS. The 8,835 square foot Los Angeles home is on sale for $6,925,000, which is $425,000 more than they paid back in June 2011.

perryhouse2The seven bedroom, nine bath Mediterranean estate is located at 8159 Hollywood Blvd, and features sweeping views of the L.A. skyline. It includes two guest houses, and is ultra-private with two gates that rise high above the street. Outside, the lagoon-style pool has a waterfall, lush landscaping, and small bridges over the running water. perry3The home was built in 1921 and has many unique details, including rod iron fixtures, curved ceilings, intricate tile, detailed woodwork, and art glass windows. It is listed by Ernie Carswell, Teles Properties, Inc.

Perry and Brand purchased the home from Daniel Laikin, the former Chief Executive of National Lampoon, who was found guilty last year in federal court of manipulating the stock price of the comedy film company. They sold their previous Los Feliz home for $3.3 million prior to purchasing this one.

Christina Aguilera Buys Tom Gores’ Estate for $10M

Christina AguileraAccording to The Real Estalker, Christina Aguilera recently picked up the Beverly Hills abode owned by billionaire Tom Gores, the founder of Platinum Equity and owner of the Detroit Pistons. While we can’t totally confirm the rumors, there are a few big coincidences that make us think they’re true. The Mediterranean-style estate, which is located in the gated Mulholland Estates community, sold on April 5 for $10 million, under “Maxamillion Trust.” We don’t know the name of the trustee, but Christina’s son’s name is Max. The second coincidence? The buyer’s agent was Brooke Kaufman, of Hilton & Hyland, who is the same agent that Christina used for the Beverly Hills estate that she’s in the process of selling for $13.5 million.

Christina’s new pad has six bedrooms, nine bathrooms, and features unique wood paneling and custom murals, but is far more low key than her last home. Our guess is that she’s going to start remodeling the place ASAP!

Christina Aguilera's HouseThe 11,107 square foot estate features a wood-paneled library, two bars, a screening room and a gourmet kitchen. The master suite has two walk-in closets, a private office, large terrace, fireplace, marble bath and steam shower.

Outside there’s a loggia with wood-paneled ceilings, hand-painted details, a fireplace and arched-glass doors that lead to the lush yard, saltwater pool/spa, bathhouse, gazebo and built-in BBQ.

In addition to being behind a gated community, the home is equipped with a state-of-the-art security system for ultimate privacy and security.

Xtina won’t be the only celebrity inhabitant. According to the Real Estalker, Gores once rented the home to Adrienne Maloof, a former cast member of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

American Idol HouseThe Los Angeles home that hosted the second-season cast of Playboy TV’s “Swing” – and later the Season 11 “American Idol” contestants – and later a fitness retreat called Destination Fit4LA – just hit the market for $11.9 million. It’s the ultimate party house, with three bars, a disco hall (complete with DJ booth), a movie theater with a 160-inch screen, a pool table and ping pong table, and an 80 foot-long pool with a blue glass tile rendition of the Hollywood sign.

american idol house 2The home spans 16,000 square feet and has 18 bathrooms and 10 bedrooms, including two master suites with large closets. There’s a fully equipped gym, floating glass staircase, and an elevator. The floor-to-ceiling windows were built to take advantage of the L.A. skyline view. The owners are selling it fully furnished – including a not-to-be-missed bed with blue lights that glow underneath it. The mansion was built in 2011 and first hit the market Dec. 7, 2011, for $8.9 million. It was delisted about eight months later on July 26, 2012, and then relisted April 15, 2013, by Valerie Fitzgerald, Coldwell Banker-BH North. The home is one of four brand new homes that are side by side; all can be purchased as a compound for $34.6 million dollars.

The “Swing” trailer is entirely NSFW, so we’ll let you use your imagination regarding what they were up to while filming in the home.  As far as the much more family-friendly “American Idol,” the season 11 top nine singers — Jessica, Colton, Phillip, Hollie, Elise, Skylar, Joshua, DeAndre, and Heejun – spent the last of their competition days in the mansion. Unfortunately for Heejun those days were short; he was cut from the show shortly after moving in. When “American Idol” was done filming, Destination Fit4LA took over the home, turning it into a fitness retreat that charged $5,300 a week.

Olivia_Wilde_3It looks like Olivia Wilde is done being a landlord – at least for her Spanish-style villa in Los Angeles. A sale is now pending on the home, which she listed for $2,295,000 on April 5. The “Rush” star has been leasing the home since October 2012 for $11,000 per month. She originally tried to sell it back in November 2012, but pulled it off the market a month later.

Wilde purchased the home in March 2011, following her separation from Tao Ruspoli (the two were officially divorced a few months later). She bought it for $2,295,000, which is the same price she listed it for, so it looks like she won’t be making anything from the sale.

Olivia Wilde 2510 ChislehurstThe home is 3,284 square feet and has four bedrooms and 3.5 baths. It sits on one of Los Feliz‘ most desirable streets, with expansive views of the Los Angeles skyline. The serene and enchanting estate was built in 1929 and has a lot of the original detailing, including Malibu tile, wood floors, stained glass and iron fixtures.

It has a media/screening room with an original bar and a library/study. Outside, the terraced grounds include a gazebo and a spa with a waterfall. It is private and secure, with a video entry system and security camera surveillance.

“Stepping into this vintage Spanish charmer with its amazing views and privacy is like stepping into your own private sanctuary,” said Redfin Agent Corina Galen.

Other celebrities in the area include Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Natalie Portman and Megan Fox.

Chris Evans' HomeAccording to The Real Estalker, Chris Evans, 31, known for his superhero roles as Captain America and the Human Torch, just picked up a Los Angeles estate for $3.52 million. The three bedroom, four bath home was built in 1940 and is nearly 4,600 square feet. It is perched above Laurel Canyon, with sweeping views of the L.A. skyline and valley below.

The home is walled and gated, offering tons of privacy. The large master suite has a full wall of floor-to-ceiling windows, and a massive closet to house Evans’ wardrobe. The home just happens to be down the street from Evans’ ex-girlfriend, Jessica Biel, who lives with hubby Justin Timberlake.

The previous owners purchased the estate in June 2012 for $1,901,000 and promptly started to remodel it, relisting the home in February 2013 for $3.5 million. The remodel included new bathroom and kitchen appliances, new flooring and countertops, and new paint throughout. It was worth the effort; Evans paid $20,000 over the asking price on April 2, 2013, under Bardsley Trust.
